Cash Drawer Troubleshooting

You must contact your EC Line reseller for further assistance.

Please make sure that you are using the correct cable and that it is properly attached to the cash drawer opening devices. Aditionally, check that the drawer is not locked and verify your lock is in the electronically open position. Otherwise, please call or email your EC Line Distributor / representative for assistance.

  • Check that the drawer is not locked and verify your lock is in the electronically open position.
  • Remove the inner drawer and check for foreign obstructions then reinstall it.
  • Check the cash drawer is properly inserted on the rails, remove any items and then reinstall the inner drawer.
  • Verify your latch spring is attached.

If the cash drawer makes a noise and doesn't open, try to manually open it. If the problem still exists, maybe something inside is blocking the operation, please turn the drawer upside down and attempt to clear it.
