POS Terminal Troubleshooting

  1. Check the touch cable is firmly installed
  2. Reinstall the touch driver. (EC-1553 uses the ELO driver and is connected to COM5.)

  1. Change the power adaptor.
  2. Change the power cable.
  3. Disconnect all peripherals then try to start up the system again.
  4. Please call or email your EC Line Distributor / representative for assistance.

  1. Check if the hard disk cable is loose or damaged
  2. Check the BIOS to see if the hard disk can be detected
  3. Replace the hard disk cable
  4. Replace the hard disk drive
  5. Please call or email your EC Line Distributor / representative for assistance

  1. Press the power button until the system reboot.
  2. Start the windows in “safe mode”. Then “turn it off” in windows.
  3. Start the windows in “normal mode.
  4. Please call or email your EC Line Distributor / representative for assistance.

  1. Disconnect and reconnect the peripheral
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the peripheral driver
  3. Please call or email your EC Line Distributor / representative for assistance.

  1. If the LCD panel still has a backlight then check the LVDS cable is undamaged.
  2. If the LCD panel backlight is not functioning then replace the inverter
  3. Connect the second monitor to confirm if the system is still functioning.
