Scanner Troubleshooting

  1. In most cases, a scanner not scan barcodes is defective. To test whether or not the scanner is defective, try to scan a bar code from your scanner's configuration manual.
  2. If the barcodes in the manual do not scan successfully the scanner is likely defective
  3. If the bar codes are scanned successfully, then the barcode scanner is either not defective, or has defective software.
  4. Please reset your scanner to default settings.
  5. Then proceed to test the scanner with a standard bar code.
  6. If you do not know how to reset your scanner to default settings, please call or email your EC Line Distributor / representative for assistance.

During barcodes scan, if the scanner emits a series of beeps when a barcode is decoded. Try to fully charge the battery of the Bluetooth scanner.If the problem still exists, please call or email your EC Line Distributor / representative for assistance.
